Dr. Jignasa Shah

HOD (Fashion Department)

Backed by a doctorate in science with “Eco Friendly Innovative Textile Printing” from Mumbai University. Dr. Shah has been with the institute for 26 years and is instrumental in upgrading the department.

She is a recipient of many awards and certifications in past years, and has won the “Mid-Career Award” at the Biennial Conference of Home Science Association of India and also an award for the best paper presentation at the International Conference, Green Fashion India, Mumbai. She is a member of the steering committee of GFI and a member of the Society of Dyers and Colourists.

Ms. Manisha Saji

Faculty (Fashion Department)

Backed by 25 years of experience, Ms. Manisha’s eloquence and command over he subjects has earned her respect from both students and staff. Besides her forte in subjects ranging from Apparel construction, Merchandising to Costumes, she has participated in various International & National level conferences, presenting papers written in collaboration with Dr, Jignasa Shah. One of their papers, “Khadi with a Rogan Connection” has not only won an award at the IIS University Jaipur, but also been published by the fashion department of Amity University in their journal.

Ms. Rizvana Ansariya

Ms. Ansariya has a total of 23 years teaching experience in India and abroad.A recipient of Certificate of Excellence by Ed Excel, a UK based awarding body in Fashion Designing; she combines in-depth knowledge of subject with excellent teaching skills.

Mr. Hitendra Savla

A post graduate in Computer Applications with an experience of over 29 years; has a strong flair for Computer Aided Designing.

Rima Shah

A NIFT graduate with over 9 years of experience in the fashion industry. She is armed with insightful knowledge of design & development.

Vishwa Shah

Visiting Faculty

An ex-student of the department and a recent Associates graduate from FIT, the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. An Embroidery designer for international brands; has a strong urge on experiencing the fashion world and being detail oriented in design development.
